Veer Vinod – History of Mewar (Part 1 to 4) is a huge and memorable book in the history of Rajasthan. It was printed in the year 1886 and now after a long gap it is being reprinted for the first time. Written in Urdu-mixed Hindi and composed in a uniquely expressive style, this book had attained a very high position in the early Indian-history-literature of Hindi.
This historical account, printed in four volumes and 2716 pages, depicts Mewar as the center of Rajput glory, valor and might. In this, the movements arising out of the major events, their challenges and the courage and valor with which the people of Mewar faced them under the leadership of various Maharanas have been vividly described. On each of its pages, the thunder of weapons and the unprecedented feats of Rajput bravery are inscribed.
